Rolls Royce, the iconic luxury car brand, is planning to open its third outlet in the Indian market soon. The new outlet is likely to be opened in Chandigarh. According to a statement given by Rolls Royce representative Pankaj Sharma to TOI on Friday, “The company is looking for an outlet either in Chandigarh or somewhere in Punjab.”

At present, the company has two outlets in the Indian market, one each in Mumbai and Delhi.

According to Mr. Sharma, the company is eyeing to have a sales point in Chandigarh or Punjab region, as a large number of enquiries for the Rolls Royce cars come from this region and most buyers of these cars belong to Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jalandhar. He added, “India is one of the biggest markets for the cars as out of 1,100 cars sold by the British car maker last year, 70 were bought here. This year, the number may cross 100.”

At present, the company sells some of its most popular cars in the Indian market including Phantom and Ghost. The Rolls Royce cars are available in the price range of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 8 crore
