      Rolls Royce plans to expand network in India

      Rolls Royce Motor Cars, the British manufacturer of luxury automobiles, is planning to expand its network in the Indian market, in a bid to tap the opportunities in the region. It is to be mentioned here that Indian is the second fastest growing market for Rolls-Royce in the Asian region. The decision has been taken in following more than 600% growth registered by the company in the Indian market, last year.

      Speaking to the reporters in the national capital, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Officer Torsten Muller Otvos said, "India is one of the major markets for us in Asia, the second-fastest growing after China. We want to be present where our customers are, so we are looking at enhancing our distribution."

      At present, the company has two dealerships in the Indian market, one each in Delhi and Mumbai. The company is now eying to add two more dealerships in the country in the coming months. According to Mr. Otvos, company is looking at places like Punjab and Hyderabad to open these new dealerships.

      Currently, Rolls Royce India sells two car models in the Indian market including the Ghost and Phantom that are priced at Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 3.5 crore, respectively.
