Rolls Royce will take the wraps off the eighth generation Phantom four-door sedan tomorrow. This is the second Phantom to be released since BMW took over Rolls Royce in the late 1990s and is a major jump in terms of technology and features.

Leaked images reveal an evolutionary design, but with enough elements to separate the new car from the outgoing model. New bits include the head lamps, grille and design of the wheels. The cabin too has been updated and will get digital displays for the instrument cluster as well as a massive screen for the infotainment system. There are no photos of the rear seats but we know that in true Rolls-Royce form, it is going to be out of this world! Powering this 8th generation beast will be a 6.2-litre V12 which is expected to produce 500Nm and around 800Nm of torque with power going to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.

There is not really much to compare the Phantom with as it is considered one of the pinnacles of automotive luxury. Realistically, if you had to look at some rivals, we could list the Bentley Mulsanne as well as the Maybach Pullman from Mercedes-Benz. It is India bound - that is for sure and is likely to be showcased at the BMW stall during the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.
