Wedding edition of their premium models Ghost and Phantom was unveiled by the English car maker Rolls-Royce recently. It is noteworthy that a large number of cars from the fleet of the luxury car maker are sold and gifted in India during the festive season. The Rolls-Royce Club in India comprises an elite class of entrepreneurs, celebrities and bureaucrats, prominent among them being the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Mallya and Aamir Khan.

Rolls Royce is mainly aiming to sell in the span of several days, starting 30th October when the wedding season starts. Several couples are already contemplating buying the wedding edition of the luxury car, while a few have even started talks with dealerships about customising the looks of their new RR. One of the several unique benefits provided to the owners of the exclusive wedding edition is getting their names embossed in the interiors of the car, apart from the usual choice of colour and veneer.

Rolls-Royce Ghost is currently available in the Indian circuit within the price bracket of Rs. 2.5 crore to Rs. 3 crore. The high-end Phantom is available at a price of around Rs. 4.5 crore and attracts the ultra-rich of India. The auto giant sold as many as 100 units in India in the year 2011, and expects the number to grow by around 50 per cent in the year 2012.

GM of Emerging Markets - Asia, Herfried Hasenoehrl remarked on this move of Rolls-Royce, “India has the potential to be the largest market in Asia Pacific by 2015 from its current number three position.” Two hundred units of Rolls-Royce have been sold in the Indian markets since the year 2005 and the English auto giant realises the full potential of the market, as prospective buyers for luxury cars in India have grown manifold over the last few years.
