Prior to its official unveiling on September 3, 2014, the new Land Rover Discovery Sport scale model has been revealed unofficially. This is the first model from new Discovery range that will replace current Freelander. Land Rover will also bring the vehicle to Indian market; however Indian luxury car enthusiasts will have to wait until 2015 end to own this car. The image has gone viral on the inter-web which shows two scale models of Discovery Sport, both the models vary from each other in various aspects. The two models featuring in the leaked image include an orange coloured sporty model and a black coloured model. The orange coloured model features black wheels, grille and the roof. Black model on the other hand features silver alloy wheels.
Inspired from the Discovery Vision Concept, the UK bound new Discovery Sport will be offered in 5+2 seat layout as standard. This would make the new Discovery Sport the first seven seater vehicle in its league. Offering flexible seating configuration, the vehicle will come incorporated with high end features such as big infotainment screen, leather upholstery, a full panoramic roof and many others.
Unlike the roomier third row offered in comparatively large seven seater SUVs like new Range Rover Sport, the third row featured in new Discovery Sport will not be as capacious.
