Reportedly, Mahindra is planning to introduce a facelift version of its Verito. The car was seen during test drives at Nashik holding few masks at its front as well as rear portion. It is speculated that the re-designing of this new model is done by the Dacia Logan abroad. The recent facelift by Mahindra will surely flaunt its refreshed look, featuring a new bumper, chrome striped grille and fog lamps. The rear portion of facelifted Verito is also expected to hold revamped boot lid, rear bumper and re-worked tail lights. In addition to these changes, the rear number plate of this car is now positioned over the revamped boot-lid. Considering the side outline, the new car will be provided with blacked out B pillars and new holdings of outer rear view mirrors.

Renault, the French auto manufacturer, routed Indian auto market with the launch of Logan, a C segment sedan, in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra. Although the car was loaded with world class features and a performance oriented engine, it was not able to grab much attention of Indian buyers. Since the car did not perform well, both the partners of venture decided to take make an end. After the split, Renault again started to concentrate over the Indian market with its well known vehicles from its global portfolio. However, the Logan was left with Mahindra who quickly turned it into Verito with minor changes in interior and exterior.

The pictures captured depicts that the new car is provided with a mid-life facelift, apart from transforming it into a sub four metre compact sedan. On the other hand, it is not sure that whether Mahindra has also worked over the interiors of this car. Analysts hope that the engine of this car should remain untouched, since the engine of Verito had remarkable attributes of a performance oriented diesel engine. It is speculated that Verito will continue to be offered in two engine options, namely 1.5 Diesel Common Rail Direct Fuel Injection (CRDI) engine and a 1.4 Petrol Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) engine. The performance oriented diesel engine is believed to offer a decent fuel economy of 21.03 kmpl, as certified by ARAI.

In European auto markets, Logan remained as best seller under the brand of Dacia; however the scenario was not repeated in the Indian market.
