Renault has been working hard for gaining a good hold over the Indian market. The company has recently launched the Kwid hatchback that has been recreating charm of days when Duster was launched. The Scala on the other hand which is present in the market for quite sometime now has often been overlooked by buyer who settle for other feature loaded options in the country. Owing to poor sales the company has announce discontinuation of its base Scala RxE model in the country.
Interested customers have three models to choose from namely - Petrol RxL, Diesel RxL and Diesel RxZ. The Renault Scala RxL in petrol gets a 1,498cc, 4-cylinder engine that generates a modest 98Bhp of power with 134Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The diesel trims – RxL and RxZ are powered by 1,461cc, 4-cylinder engine that generates 85Bhp at 3,750rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 2000rpm. The RxL was also available in automatic apart from the regular 5-speed manual transmission, the CVT trim has also been discontinued.
