French automaker, Renault is working on an all-new compact SUV which has been spotted several times during its test rounds on European roads. The vehicle is rumoured to make its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which is scheduled in the first week of March, while the sales are expected to commence in the mid-2015. The latest test mule has been filmed during its test near the city of Stuttgart, Germany.

The spotted vehicle was heavily camouflaged; revealing very few details. That said, the front fascia of the car features a radiator grille, and it seems to have taken its inspiration from the 2011 R-Space concept and recently introduced Escape. The small SUV will be based on the Renault-Nissan's Alliance CMF (Common Module Family) platform, which also underpins the new generation Nissan X-Trail.

The small crossover is speculated to be slotted between the Captur and Duster SUV. However, few media reports suggest that the crossover will be bigger than the previous Koleos. The vehicle is likely to share its engine lineup with the new X-Trail. The 1.6-litre diesel engine that also powers the Qashqai could power the new SUV. A 1.6-litre petrol engine that powers the Duster is also expected to power the new SUV. It is likely to be manufactured at the company’s manufacturing unit in Tangier, Morocco or at newly developed facility in Oran, Algeria.
