Renault Kwid EV has been spied testing in the international market. The electric version will be primarily launched in China. Based on what can be seen, the vehicle borrows the massive grille and light clusters from the K-ZE Concept which was showcased at the Paris Motor Show. The China-bound model will be locally manufactured by the e-GT New Energy Automotive Co, which is the joint venture between the Dongfeng Motor Group and Nissan.

The company has not revealed technical details for the electric version yet, except for the fact that it will have a driving range of 250kms on a single change. The vehicle will have a dual charging system that can be charged via commercial electric chargers as well as regular home-based plug points. Renault Kwid EV is unlikely to be launched anytime soon in India, however the company had earlier revealed its plans to introduce at least one electric vehicle in the country by 2022.
