Renault India’s flagship offering, the Duster compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) has won the prestigious TNS Voice of Customer award for the greatest customer satisfaction. This can be termed as a tremendous achievement for the company, which seems to be putting all the right moves for consolidating its position in the domestic passenger car market.

The TNS Voice of Customer award has been given by reporting findings of the TNS Automotive Four-Wheeler Total Customer Satisfaction for 2012. This award was won by the Renault Duster for the compact SUV segment. Customer satisfaction was calculated as per different criteria, such as product quality, delivery process and the cost of ownership.

With this accolade, the commitment of the French auto maker to offer world class products and services to its customers has been reiterated. The company has also improved its pan-Indian presence by opening a number of new dealerships in the country over the course of last year.

Expressing his views on the company's strong position in the domestic automobile sector, Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales for Renault India Private Limited was quoted as saying, “With a complete range of products and an extensive dealership presence, Renault India has seen both continued growth as well as recognition for our product quality, reliability and efficiency.” He further added, “Customer satisfaction is a vital consideration in ensuring customer loyalty in today’s demanding market and the Voice of Customer award puts Renault yet another step ahead of competition in the Indian automotive space.”

The following is the break-up of individual sales for different Renault vehicles in the Indian auto market during April 2013. Out of 6314 vehicles sold in last month, 5362 units of the Duster, 545 units of Scala, 39 units of the luxurious Fluence, 358 units of hatchback Pulse and 10 units of Koleos were delivered. Evidently, the Duster is responsible for a major chunk of the success achieved by Renault in the Indian auto market.
