Renault Fluence, the long awaited premium sedan in the Indian market is, is all set to hit the Indian roads on 23rd May 2011. The Fluence sedan will mark the re-entry of the French car maker Renault’s in the Indian market, as the company hasn’t launched any vehicle in the country after parting ways with Mahindra & Mahindra. The car will be launched in the price range of Rs 11 lakh to 14 lakh where it will be competing with the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze and Skoda Laura.
The Renault Fluence model will be assembled at the company’s Oragadam facility in Chennai. The car will be launched in both petrol and diesel versions in the country, along with a wide range of variants to choose from. The Fluence model will be closely followed by luxury sports utility vehicle – Koleos – which will be launched in the country by the end of this year.
Renault India is aiming to sell more than 1 lakh cars per annum in the Indian market by the fall of year 2013. Moreover, the French car maker will be rolling-out five car models in the country by year 2015, aiming to be among the top three brands in the Indian market.
