      Renault Fluence E4 diesel coming this November

      The French car maker Renault, that had recently marked its re-entry in the Indian auto market, will launch a new variant of its popular premium sedan Renault Fluence in the country in November 2011. The new variant will be a high end variant of Fluence diesel version and will come equipped with all features that are currently available in the E4 petrol variant.

      At present, the Renault Fluence diesel version (E2) is available as a base model in the Indian market and it lacks features like cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, twin-zone air conditioning, auto headlamps, and beige interiors, which are available in the E4 petrol variant of the car.

      The addition of these premium features in the new Renault Fluence diesel variant is expected to make it costlier by Rs 80,000 to 1,00,000. While the existing variant of the Fluence diesel E2 is available with a price tag of Rs 12.99 lakh, the price of new E4 diesel variant is expected to be in the range of Rs 13.8 lakh to 14 lakh.

      The Renault Fluence model was launched in the Indian market about three months back, and it was the first portfolio model of Renault in the country. The car competing with the likes of Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Corolla Altis.
