Since its launch in India, the model has been felicitated with some of the best titles including the ‘Indian Car of the Year 2013’. Expressing his views on this, the Managing Director of Renault India, Marc Nassif, was quoted as saying, “In the past few weeks, Renault India has received an unprecedented number of honours from the local media. For instance, Renault India was voted Car Manufacturer of the Year, Duster has been named Car of the Year by most Indian media, while Pulse and Scala were also distinguished in their respective segments. This is great recognition for a young brand in India like Renault.”

Renault Duster in India is offered between a price bracket of Rs 7.5 lakhs and Rs. 11.6 lakhs. With the launch of its flagship model in the Indian auto sector, the auto maker has witnessed some of the good times in the country. During the first month of its launch, Renault India received overwhelming bookings of more than 12,000 for its Duster from all across the country. Interestingly, before the launch of Duster in India, the auto maker was delivering around 500 units per month to the Indian buyers, which has now reached somewhere close to 4000 per month.

Industry experts believe that the auto maker is now planning to introduce the LPG guise of Duster in the Indian auto market, which has been introduced in France off late. This model is further expected to take the legacy of Duster to new heights as the LPG model will prove out to be more economical in running costs, which is one of the key luring points for Indian buyers.
