Renault Brazil recalls Logan and Sandero for a steering concern

Renault has issued a recall for some of their Logan and Sandero vehicles in the Brazilian market due to a steering concern.

The car manufacturer detailed that a total of 3,120 units have been spotted for the recall and these include the Logan saloon and the Sandero hatchback. All the affected cars have rolled out of the Renault plant in Sao Jose dos Pinhais between 4th November and 4th December, 2015.

These vehicles will need to be taken back to the dealerships to repair a flaw identified in the component that connects the steering box to the wheel hub. Sources admitted that there’s a risk of disruption of the bearing when the vehicle is in motion and could consequently result in a loss of handling, increasing the risk of a crash. All variants of both the models are involved in the recall and listed below are the chassis details:

Logan

GJ149048 of the GJ235231

Sandero

GJ129961 of the GJ235739

GJ192635 of the GJ227791
