      Renault B58 small car to be introduced in October

      The France based leading auto maker Renault is all set to unveil its small hatchback B58 in the Indian market next month. It seems like Renault has decided to expand in the Indian car market across all segments, as the carmaker was recently caught testing its small car Modus near its Chennai plant also.

      Renault has already debuted in the premium segment by launching its premium sedan Fluence and luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) Koleos in the Indian market. While the Fluence marked its debut in the Indian auto market a few months back, the Koleos was launched last week in the country.

      Coming back to B58, the unconfirmed media reports claim that the Renault B58 will be unveiled in the country at the forthcoming Formula 1 GP in Greater Noida, which is scheduled to be held in the last week of October 2011.

      The Renault B58 will be rolled-out in the Indian market in both petrol and diesel versions. While the petrol version will be powered by a 1.2L petrol engine, the diesel version of the car will be powered by a 1.5L power train. The car will be manufactured at the Nissan-Renault’s joint manufacturing unit in Chennai.

      Once launched in the Indian market, the Renault B58 will certainly strengthen the positioning of the brand Renault in the Indian market. It will be the first even small car from Renault in the Indian market.
