Royal Enfield has plans to launch the Himalayan by early 2016. This new adventure bike is being tested in the Himalayas as Royal Enfield is gearing up for its launch. Royal Enfield will not just be introducing this bike in India but even exporting it to other markets. In fact, Himalayan is the last RE bike that was designed in India. From now on, all their new products will be designed at the satellite centre in the UK.

Royal Enfield will be replacing the 350cc engine with the 410cc in the near future as the former engine doesn’t meet the emission norms. RE will be priced between Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). Adventure biking is on the rise with several bike manufacturers from Hero to Ducati have plans to get bikes of different sizes.
