Land Rover has always been experimenting with its designs and has come up with something new time and again. Saying that Geneva Motor Show, this year, was a huge success won’t be wrong, keeping in mind the different designs and concepts of cars of various companies that were unveiled at this show. It was during this show that Land Rover confirmed the rumours of the launch of convertible version of Range Rover Evoque next year.

It is evident that the concept of Range Rover Evoque Cabriolet was showcased in 2012, and finally after 4 years, it would be seen running on roads. The official images of the car being tested in a tunnel were launched by the manufacturers sometime back.

The authorities at Land Rover informed the media that the production of the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be at the Halewood plant of Land Rover where it will be built along with the five-door coupe variant of the car. The convertible variant of an SUV still seems to be under scrutiny that whether the loss of Evoque’s roof will cause problems in driving the vehicle on a rough terrain or not. But the R&D team at Land Rover has tested the vehicle in various conditions and have come up with a fool-proof design of the convertible.

The various features and engine capabilities of the variant remain the same as that of its early variants. The differences come in the refreshed line-up of engine, which now includes the four-cylinder diesel range from the Ingenium range of the Jaguar Land Rover. The other differences include a revised front lamp design, aerodynamic rooftop, and a revised and better design of rear-end styling. Other than these minor changes, a new designed rear-mounted lip spoiler will also be installed in the vehicle.

Land Rover is well known for the quality it provides and the durability of its vehicle. This is one of the reasons why people prefer buying cars of this company than any other luxury brands. And as a matter of fact, more than three-fourth of the cars ever produced by the company are still rolling on the streets of the world.
