      Pune youth falls victim to sword attack over a bike

      Drawing lines in every relation is important. 24-year old Parshuram Ganganer from Sinhagad Road learnt it a hard way when he was attacked by a friend, Somnath Kamble who’s bike he had crashed and had it confiscated by the Vishrambaug Police. Ganganer sustained sword injuries on his legs, neck and hands, and is recuperating at a private hospital.

      Speaking more on the incident, Smita Jadhav, Inspector of Dattawadi police station, said to source, “Ganganer had borrowed Kamble's motorcycle for some work. He met with an accident in the jurisdiction of Vishrambaug police station following which the motorcycle was seized.” Post the incident, Kamble reportedly being infuriated over loosing his bike wanted to get his bike back and was asking Ganganer to get it back from the Police station.

      On Wednesday, sighting Ganganer talking to his uncle near the Pu La Deshpande garden on Sinhagad Road, Kamble picked up an argument with Ganganer and in the heated argument assaulted latter and fled the spot. Speaking on the incident, Jadhav said, “Kamble arrived at the spot and reminded Ganganer about his motorcycle. They got into a fight and Kamble attacked his friend with a sword.” Kamble has been booked under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
