The Tata Nexon has been spotted on test several times, mostly in a disguised avatar hiding its details. This time a camouflaged test mule was out on test yet again, but our spyphotographer managed to take a shot of the interior featuring the driving mode knob.

This new knob toggles between eco, city and sport driving modes. It functions the same way as the buttons on the Bolt and the Zest, but is placed near the gear lever. Despite the heavy camouflage, it is evident that the Nexon will offer features like a push start and stop button, keyless entry, a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with reverse parking camera, navigation, aux, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

The petrol version of the Tata Nexon will be powered by a turbocharged Revotron 1.2-litre petrol mill, while the oil-burner will get a new 1.5-litre diesel motor. The latter is expected to produce around 110bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a new six-speed manual gearbox that will send power to the front wheels.

The upcoming Tata Nexon is a Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Ford EcoSport competitor. However, Tata might price it very competitively trying to outshine rivals and become a stronger player. This will be clear when the carmaker launches the SUV for the Indian market in the coming year.
