Tata Motors is almost ready to launch the all new Altroz premium hatchback. Ahead of its launch that is expected to take place in the near future, a production ready version of the model has been spied on public roads.
The partially camouflaged test-mule of the upcoming Tata Altroz reveals a few details such as the alloy wheel design, blacked out B-pillar, C-pillar mounted rear door handle, integrated spoiler with a high mounted stop lamp and black design elements on either side of the rear windscreen. Another highlight is the new red paintjob on Tata’s new premium hatchback.
Tata Motors has not revealed any details regarding the interiors of the Altroz although the model is expected to come equipped with a JBL sourced music system and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new Tata Altroz will reportedly offered with a range of engine options including two petrol motors and one diesel motor. The petrol units could include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit. The diesel mill could be the Nexon sourced 1.5-litre unit. Transmission options for the Altroz are likely to include a five speed manual transmission for the naturally aspirated engine while the other two engines could be paired to a six speed manual transmission. Upon launch, the Tata Altroz will rival the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Toyota Glanza.
