Porsche tests their Mission E in Finland

Porsche first showcased their Mission E concept (all-electric saloon) at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and it is expected to hit markets internationally in the year 2019. We noticed that the test mule looked a lot higher than the regular model possibly due to the placement of the battery packs. Also, the yellow warning stickers on the body shell and the absence of a combustion engine exhaust note make it obvious that this is an EV.

On a different note, the Mission E is expected to be an all-wheel-drive EV which will be underpinned by a new platform. The powerplant, comprising of multiple electric motors, is predicted to make in excess of 600bhp, and will be able to propel the Mission E to an estimated top speed of 250kmph. Sources report that this EV will be able to cover more than 450km on a single charge and will come with Porsche’s turbo charging system. This will get the car 80 per cent recharged in just 15min, thanks to the impressive 800V system.

More on this in the time to come, so stay tuned.
