The top-of-the-line Porsche 911R will bow in at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. In essence a high performance version of the GT3, it pays tribute in name and performance to the original 911R from 1967.

Keeping in spirit with the original 911R, this car is expected to be powered by the rear mounted 3.8-litre flat-six which in this guise is likely to produce 475bhp and 439Nm of torque giving it a somewhat amazing power to weight ratio. It will be offered with a manual as well as the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The car will obviously be somewhat of a sleeper in appearance but will get reworked suspension, lighter body parts and maybe a rollcage at the back for added rigidity.

Finally, reports suggest that Porsche is having a limited production run for this variant of the 911 and that (without an ounce of surprise) it has already been sold out.
