Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India, said “I am pleased to announce the arrival of the new 911 Carrera, the seventh generation of this sports car icon, as well as the new Boxster S which was unveiled globally earlier this year.”

Reddi is confident that both these vehicles will do well in the Indian market and increase Porsche's customers and fans. The 911 model was first launched 50 years back and since then, all its generation cars have been globally acclaimed. The seventh generation 911 Carrera S has become even more sporty and comes with more luxury and comfort features.

The all new 911 Carrera S houses a 6-cylinder, 3.8-litre engine mounted at its rear and is capable of delivering a power as high as 400 bhp. The car has a massive acceleration and can reach a speed of 100 kmph starting from 0 in just 4.3 seconds. The optional Sport Chrono package has even better acceleration and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds and can attain a top speed of 302 kmph. The engine of the 911 Carrera comes mated to the world's first seven speed manual transmission or the automatic 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK). The car has a lightweight body and comes with the new electro-mechanical power steering and is packed with many advanced features,

On the other hand, Boxter S comes powered by a mid-mounted 3.4 litre 6-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 315 bhp. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in merely 5 seconds. This classical open-top two seater has undergone a lot of changes and is more attractive, lighter and more fuel efficient now.

Both the cars from the stables of Porsche has a host of features and a stunning look. However, it is too early to say if it will be successful in luring buyers.
