      Piaggio launches Vespa S in India

      Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. has launched the all new sporty Vespa S today in India. Bollywood’s popular actor Imran Khan was present at the time of launch and unveiled the chic Vespa S scooter. Endowed with sporty design and style, the contemporary Vespa S scooter is expected to help Piaggio carve a niche for itself in the premium scooter segment. Premium scooters mainly aim at youth who prefer a chic looking two-wheeler instead of the conventional looking scooters. With the launch of Vespa S, the company now has on offer three variants, LX, VX and S. Vespa S was also showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo held in February at Greater Noida.

      Vespa has been catering to the needs to customers since many decades, over the years the company has tried to offer most contemporary scooters backed by advanced technology. Among the new features added on the new Vespa, a square headlight and mirrors, new sporty speedometer cluster, black ally combination wheels and a curved saddle are included. Other features like disc brakes, tubeless tyres, single piece steel Monocoque chassis are being offered on the new Vespa S.

      The all new Vespa S comes with a 125cc, 3- valve engine which is efficient enough to deliver high fuel economy and excellent performance. Customers have four colour choices including the newly introduced Orange and Matt black apart from the red and white.

      Mr. Ravi Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited (India)who was also present at the time of launch stated that the company is elated over the launch of new Vespa S scooter, with the launch of new line of scooters Piaggio eyes at strengthening its position in the premium scooter market. The company will soon complete two years in India, since its entry in India, it has launched three scooters including Vespa S
