Piaggio has launched the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter in India. Priced at Rs 12.05 lakh (ex-showroom Pune), it is the most expensive and the most exclusive scooter one can buy in India.

This scooter was co-developed by Vespa and Giorgio Armani to commemorate their 130th and 40th anniversary respectively. The overall design of the 949 Emporio Armani shows the modern interpretation of the old Vespa scooter. The paint on this scooter is special, so are the seats. The 3D Armani logo on either sides, increases the overall cool quotient of the scooter. The company’s iconic eagle logo can also be seen above the headlight.

Powering this Vespa is a 125cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 11.39bhp at 8750rpm and peak torque of 9.6Nm at 7750rpm. The Italian manufacturer has equipped the scooter with some features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), anti-slip regulator (ASR) traction control and LED lights. The braking department are handled by 220mm disc at the front and rear.

The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is imported from Italy as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit and will be sold at all Vespa and Motoplex showrooms.
