Car manufacturers around the globe are ready to showcase their cars at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next week. The home-grown automaker, Tata Motors also has something special for the upcoming show. If reports are to be believed, Tata will showcase the performance version of its newly launched Bolt hatchback in Geneva. The sporty version of the Bolt hatchback will be sold under the company's new performance brand, which is likely to be launched by the year end.
Tata Bolt Sport concept will be powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that does duty on the regular petrol model. While the standard variant develops 89bhp of power, the sporty variant is likely to develop around 120PS power (30PS more). The torque value will be increased; and to handle the raised torque, the company will fit the Bolt Sport concept with a Fiat sourced C501 gearbox. This is the same gearbox which thr company used in the multi-jet powered Bolt hatch.
The sporty version of the Bolt hatchback will also get exterior makeover. The wheel arches of the car will be fitted to new 17-inch alloy wheels, while the exteriors features sporty side skirts. Similarly, the company is also likely to add some sporty touch to interiors. The suspension system will be tweaked with stiffer damping and lowered ride height to further enhance the overall driving experience.
