Tension between India and Pakistan is not new to the world, but this time around the world has got a new subject of discussion, i.e. Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif has reportedly denied using the vehicle supplied by the Indian government on Nepal’s request for the SAARC summit that is due to begin from 26th November this year.

The Indian government had sent about 6 bullet proof vehicles to Nepal for this occasion. Nepal’s PM Sushil Koirala and country president Ram Baran Yadav already had two such vehicles which shall be used during the occasion, whereas the Indian PM Narendra Modi shall drive-in his own vehicle. Apart from them, the key personas who shall attend the event and use the India supplied vehicles would be Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen. The vehicles supplied are currently under the vigilance of Nepal Army.

Speaking more on the occasion, Khaganath Adhikari said, “Pakistan had told Nepal that it will make independent arrangements for Sharif’s movements. Officials in Kathmandu tried to underplay the issue, and suggested it was routine for foreign leaders to bring in their own vehicles.”
