The Veneno name follows the Lamborghini tradition of naming its super sports cars after famous and legendary fighting bulls. For instance, the Lamborghini Veneno is named after the strongest and fastest fighting bull that gained recognition for killing a matador in 1914. The futuristic Veneno shares the same engine and platform with its elder sibling- Aventador and is one of the most powerful Lamborghini sports cars made in history.

Speaking of under-the-hood specifications of the Lamborghini Veneno, the super sports car is pumped with a tweaked 6.5 litre V12 engine, shared with Aventador. The beast of a V12 powertrain churns out 50 bhp more power than the Aventador at 750 bhp. The Lamborghini Veneno accelerates to 100 kmph mark from a stand still in just 2.8 seconds and could reach a top speed of 355.55 kmph.

In terms of exterior design, Veneno 'Raging Bull' is a pure-bred Italian super sports car with Lamborghini announcing just three units to be ever sold. The Veneno showcased at this year's Geneva auto salon flaunts red, green and white coloured accents on its flanks, which is identified as Lamborghini's tribute to the Italian national flag. The Lamborghini Veneno carries an exorbitant price tag of $ 3.9 million (over Rs. 21 crore). Further, after considering the 100 per cent imports duty levied in India, the asking price for Veneno could become somewhere close to Rs. 50 crore.
