The Japanese automobile manufacturer initiated the worldwide return of its sister brand Datsun in 2013, with Go hatchback's global debut in India. Nissan phased out Datsun in 1986 but is now ready to re-launch it as a brand that offers low-cost vehicles, and will be seen putting on a show for the Indian automobile market at the 12th Delhi Auto Expo. What will make the brand's return from the long hiatus is the world premier of its first new concept car. To be unveiled on the Datsun stand during the press-days of the Auto Expo, the concept targets to appeal to the new generation of young and optimistic people. The company claims that the concept is a far cry from the mundane and ordinary, and a step ahead in terms of product allure.

Other than the brand new concept, the Datsun stand in Hall 12 will also present the Datsun GO+ MPV and the Datsun GO hatchback. Nissan first showcased the GO as a part of a pan-India roadshow campaign that covered 90 cities. The five-door front-wheel drive car houses a 1.2 litre inline-3 mill mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Two accessorized versions of the Datsun GO model will be displayed to acquaint the visitors with the kind of personalization options the car will come with.

Furthermore, the seven-seater GO+ MPV will also be making its official Indian debut at the event. This one will also employ Nissan’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 68PS worth of power and 104Nm of peak torque. Upon its launch, GO+ will be seen giving competition to the upcoming Brio MPV and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
