SUV lovers in the country will swear by Nissan Terrano’s impressive driving dynamics. However, the lack of AMT option has been diverting customer interests to its counterpart, the Renault Duster with Easy-R AMT. In order to address growing customer demand for AMT cars, the automaker will introduce the Terrano AMT sometime in November this year.

Currently, the Terrano SUV from Nissan is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine which generates 104bhp of power and 145Nm of torque, while its diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre engine in two tunes – 85bhp and 110bhp. The Japanese automaker will introduce the six-speed 'Easy-R' unit from the Renault Duster. However, the AMT option will only be available on the 110bhp variant. Additionally, the company might also offer features such as traction control and hill-climb assist.

The automaker will not be introducing any exterior design upgrades for now, however, the interior might get a minor upgrade in the form of revised upholstery. Nissan is also expected to offer touchscreen music system with navigation and automatic climate control. In order to clear the existing lot and make way for the newer version, the automaker has announced benefits of up to Rs 80,000 along with a special interest rate of about 7.99 per cent. More details about the new version will be known in the coming days.
