The facelift gets a new body colour option with all-new diamond cut alloy wheels. The front chrome grille is slightly tweaked and the headlamps get a new lighting signature. The tail lights get a LED on the top trim. The ORVM gets a turn indicator as well. The major updates are on the inside, where Nissan has given the new Terrano a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and navigation, steering mounted controls, one touch lane indicator, an anti-pinch driver-side window as well as cruise control. Also included in this update is a new cabin colour which sees the upholstery move from black and beige to a dual-tone brown and beige. As far as safety features are concerned, the Terrano offers only driver-side airbags as standard. Apart from the base variant, the XL variant and above get ABS with EBD and brake assist, whereas ESP and hill start assist is offered only on the XV AMT variant.

The engine options remain the same and are available in both petrol and diesel options. The diesel variant is powered by the same 1.5-litre dCi engine from the Duster and is available in two different tunes – 85bhp base version and an 110bhp top spec variant. The petrol variants get the 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit churning out 102bhp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a five-speed and six-speed manual while the automatic option gets a six-speed AMT.

The Terrano competes with the likes of the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, the Mahindra XUV500, the Tata Hexa, Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Safari Storme, and at this price range, most of the C-segment sedans like the Honda City, the Maruti Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna.
