In order to share the success of Ranbir Kapoor’s starrer ‘Barfi’, Nissan India has placed its iconic hatchback Micra next to him. The Japanese auto maker has launched exclusive Nissan Micra Primo Edition that features a handful of new features, including body decals, 2 DIN audio system with USB compatibility, parking sensors at rear and LED lights on the outer rear view mirrors.
The auto maker has offered its new model in only pearl white body colour; however the buyers can choose it in petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol model has been incorporated with a 1.2 litre three-cylinder engine, which churns out a peak power of 80 bhp, accompanied by a decent torque. On the other hand, the diesel model has been equipped with a 1.5 litre K9K powertrain, which is configured to generate a peak power of 65 bhp.
Success of Nissan India’s flagship model Micra can be judged from the fact that the locally produced model is widely exported throughout the globe. Moreover, the auto maker is planning to reposition the existing model and is working to place it in a lower price segment to boost up the volumes. On the other hand, rumours around the news also says that the company is working on the development of a refreshed avatar of Micra, which will be introduced in the Indian auto industry somewhere in 2013; however nothing is confirmed as of now.
