Nissan has just revealed a dark teaser image of the upcoming GT-R. The vehicle in its production form shall be revealed at the 2016 New York motor show that is due to begin next week. This particular model shall be introduced as a facelift, while sometime by 2018, the company might introduce an all new model.

Under the hood, the Nissan GT-R shall be powered by 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that will generate a massive 542bhp of power. Though more details on the styling and technicalities is not known for now, the new vehicle is expected to get mild cosmetic upgrades and extra boost in power. The existing GT-R NISMO is capable of clocking a 0 – 100 km/h in just under 3 seconds, hence, with the extra power under the hood, the vehicle may well surpass its own standards.

Nissan has also been working on an R35-generation of GT-R for a while now. Though the company has not revealed any plans on introducing it anytime soon, we anticipate it could be no sooner than 2018. More details on the GT-R facelift would be known post its official unveiling at the upcoming event. Loaded with fresh upgrades and tweaked performance, the GT-R is indeed expected to score a lot of brownie points.
