Nissan India has silently introduced a special variant of its MPV, the Evalia. This could be the move to increase the sales of Evalia in the festive season. This variant is offered on the top-end XV (O) variant and is priced at Rs. 11.62 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi.

Talking about changes, the special variant of the Evalia has a new sportier front fascia. It features a full chrome grille flanked by large headlamps, new bumper with stylish airdams and restyled fog lamps enclosure with chrome elements. Its wheel arches have been fitted to newly styled 10-spoke alloy wheels. Moreover, the vehicle gets a rear spoiler to add some sportiness.

Inside, the vehicle remains unchanged. The XV(O) variant is already loaded with several features such as a faux-wood finished centre console, AC vents for all three rows, 2-DIN music system, ABS with EBD, reversing camera, an i-key, etc. Under the bonnet is the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder K9K diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 85bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the MPV via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.

Nissan India updated the Evalia in July, which has received some changes in both exteriors and interiors; however, the vehicle failed to attract many buyers. The Evalia MPV directly compete against the likes of Honda Mobilio, Toyota Innova and others in the segment.
