Nissan has announced the introduction of a new technology that will be called ‘e-Pedal’. It will find its way into the new Nissan LEAF where the tech will transform the accelerator into an e-Pedal which will allow drivers to accelerate, decelerate and stop the car by just using the e-Pedal.

Needless to say, Nissan’s e-Pedal technology is the world's first one-pedal operation. The car maker expects the new technology to revolutionise the way cars are driven today, since drivers can bring the vehicle to a complete stop even on hills, hold the car in place, and resume driving instantly. All with just one pedal. This is something Nissan believes drivers will immediately appreciate since the feature eases driving in heavy traffic and regular city run-abouts.

Nissan admitted that the e-Pedal technology is a result of the brand’s commitment to bring accessible and advanced driver assistance technology to the masses. As one will remember, the ‘Nissan Intelligent Mobility’ program is expected to induct such new technology to keep up with Nissan’s future plans.
