      Nissan endeavours to launch Evalia in India this September

      Nissan Motors India, the Indian wing of the Japan based auto giant, is endeavouring to roll out the much awaited MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), Nissan Evalia in the Indian auto market in September this year. In a bid to capture the emerging segment in the country and outrivaling its tough contenders like Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo, Nissan Evalia comparatively offers an extensive interior space aptly blended with captivating exteriors.

      Nissan Evalia made its debut appearance in India at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo grabbing maximum eyeballs with its spacious interiors capable of accommodating seven passengers. Evalia will be certainly offering uniquely styled doors as compared to its rivals Innova and Xylo. This new Nissan sibling will embody smoothly sliding doors at the rear side, refraining use of the conventional swivel doors.

      Loaded with 1.5 litre K9K turbo diesel engine, Nissan Evalia is anticipated to share the same specifications as the brand’s entry level sedan, Nissan Sunny.

      Nissan Evalia is a product of the joint venture entered into between the Japanese automaker, Nissan Motors and the Indian commercial vehicle producing company, Ashok Leyland. The joint venture with Ashok Leyland has effectively assisted the Japanese car maker in introducing this new vehicle in a segment, which has currently emerged as a rage in India. Nissan Evalia is planned to be manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant and is expected to be shelved at a price ranging between Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh.

      Along with rendering a head on competition to the segment leading models such as Innova and Xylo, Nissan Evalia will surely give a tough fight to the recently rolled out Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
