It is the time to celebrate anniversaries and what better than to celebrate the occasion of Ninjas. Kawasaki, one of the most popular motorcycle brands in the world, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its signature Ninja bike. It has been selling this model for 30 years now. Whenever it has come to superbiking, Ninjas have led the lot with drop-dead gorgeous looks and high-end performance. Now, to celebrate the 30th year of its success, Kawasaki has launched a new model, Ninja 300. This bike has been modelled on the Ninja ZX-10R, thus having a stark resemblance to this World Superbike Championship winning model.

Ninja 300 has been provided with a number of additional features here and there, though it has quite a number of similarities with its racing sibling. This model is being regarded as one of the best entry-level bikes of the renowned brand. The graphic set has been newly designed just to give that chic appearance to this bike on the streets. On either sides of the front lamp cowl, bold stickers have been installed. The huge fuel tank has ‘30th Anniversary Edition” embossed in bold providing that mean look to the bike. Black panels, which have been matte finished have found their way on this model, just to increase its appeal.

Despite being the fact that the other Kawasaki anniversary models have not found their way to India, I might be possible that Ninja becomes one of the only bikes that could be available for the Indian fans. Indeed, the entire looks of the anniversary edition has been modelled on few of its elder siblings, thus giving it a sporty look. The tyres have been installed with a special thin strip, which runs around the entire rim. Though there has not been any official declaration about the number of units that might be manufactured, the total might be just limited to a few hundred.

The general technical specifications remain almost the same as is characteristic of most Ninja bikes from Kawasaki. The 296 cc twin cylinder churns out almost 39 PS of power at 11000 rpm. However, the maximum torque produced is of 27 Nm which comes at around 10000 rpm. ABS is also installed, which takes care of the safety features while going high-speed. There has been a long debate between Indian fans whether to go for Duke 390 or Ninja 300. KTM has not only higher-end specs but also more power and is cheap but there is something about the Ninja that pushes its way ahead of its rival always.
