The next generation Audi Q5 SUV has been spotted on test in Europe ahead of its expected launch in 2017. This will be the second generation for the German automaker’s mid-size SUV and will be offered in with both petrol and diesel engines.
The pictures reveal an evolutionary design for the SUV. In that typical Audi fashion, it gets all the trade hallmarks that we saw in the latest Q7 but in reduced size to match the rank of the car. Noticeable elements include a body wide chrome strip as well as chrome lining for the glass area.
The grille is the latest from Audi stables while we believe that this will get projector headlamps in place of the more advanced units found in the larger Q7. In the Indian context, this new Q5 will be launched just a few months after its global arrival as it one of the Important models for the German automaker. It will be locally assembled and will rival the likes of the BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace and the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
