The powerful Nissan GT-R has a global fan following. To make things interesting and take this popular car a level up, it is likely that the upcoming model will be a hybrid version. Supporting claims, the Nissan’s Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura has laid emphasis on electrification for cars, while further adding that one should not be surprised to see the next-gen GT-R emerging as an electrified vehicle.

A facelift version of the Nissan GT-R will find way to US showrooms next year, while Nissan designers have also been working on re-designing the next-gen GTR which will go on sale sometime later. The company is reportedly working hard on tweaking the 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine in the next-gen model to make it more fuel efficient while delivering impressive power at the same time. More details about the next-gen model is not known for now as it is still in the developmental phase. Based on anticipation, the next-gen model might debut in 2018.

Back in March this year, at the New York Auto Show, the company showcased the 2017 facelift version. The 2017 Nissan GT-R claims to have received its biggest facelift since its debut way back in 2007. In terms of changes, the facelift model gets a redesigned front grille and hood design. The interiors now sport restyled body panels and lowered dash panel for better driver visibility.
