The heavily camouflaged mules of the new Volvo XC60 have been caught testing recently, confirming the speculations of the 2017 debut. While we wait for more details from the Swedish carmaker on the next-gen SUV, here is a rendering on the XC60 based on their new design philosophy.

Volvo created quite a stir with its styling of the XC90. It is well received, and as expected the design is been used on all the new models like the S90, V90, V40 facelift and now also the XC60. The hammer-shaped DRLs and the large vertical-slat chrome grille look particularly nice.

Following the current Volvo trend, the new XC60 will have a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel options, along with a couple of hybrid variants. All about the mechanicals and more will be known only later next year, when the car makes its global debut. As for India, chances of us seeing it before 2018 are slim.
