      New Triumph Tiger motorcycle range launching in India on March 12, 2015

      At the recently concluded 2015 India Bike Week, Tirumph Motorcycles showcased its new mid-size Tiger motorcycle range. The company, at the unveiling, had announced that the bike will be introduced in March, this year. Now, the company has officially revealed that the new Tiger motorcycle will be introduced in the Indian two-wheeler market on March 12, 2015.

      In global markets, the Triumph range comprises of 4 variants - XC, XR, XCx and the XRx. However, the Indian market will only get the premium variants - the XCx and XRx. The Tiger range is fitted with first in class cruise control. Moreover, the bikes get traction control and switchbable anti-lock braking system as standard features. Triumph Motorcycles says that the new Tiger range has WP suspension and wire technology that offer improved off-road abilities and smooth power delivery, respectively. This bike also has adjustable seat height, which can be raised or lowered by 20mm.

      The Triumph XCx rides on 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel. Both variants are powered by 800cc, 3-cylinder motor that churns out a maximum power output of 94PS and a peak torque of 79Nm. According to the maker, the new Tiger bikes are 17 per cent more fuel efficient than the outgoing model.
