Tata Motors is ready to introduce its brand new crossover vehicle Tata Aria in the Indian market. Tata Motors had introduced the car at the recent Delhi Auto Expo 2010 in January this year. Tata Aria is a cross between an MPV and an SUV. It is expected to be powered by the 2.2L Direct Injection Common Rail Diesel Engine. It currently powers Tata Safari and Tata Sumo Grande.
“The Aria should be launched most likely in May or June. We are going according to our plans. As for exporting it, we will make all our cars available outside the country depending on their need or relevance,” said Tata Motors’ official spokesperson.
Tata Motors has not revealed the final price or specifications of the model but it is expected to be priced between Rs. 12-15 lakh in the Indian market. Tata Motors will introduce the model in the domestic market only but may also export to overseas market at a later stage.
