Honda intends to introduce two new superbikes in India on February 27th. It will launch its CBR 1000RR and CB1000R in the country. The super bikes will be initially sold in the four metros only – Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. There will be exclusive stores for these superbikes that shall cater exclusively to demands for these bikes.
The company will expand to other cities in Stage 2 and will also account for the servicing and other issues related to the bike. The expected price of CBR 1000RR is Rs. 12 lakh while CB1000R is expected to be priced at Rs. 10 lakh.
Earlier Honda had stated about its plans to introduce its super bikes in India before the end of current fiscal. We will launch two models in super bike category with 800-1000 cc engines in this fiscal. Apart from this, we will also bring a new model in the mass market category before March next year,” NK Rattan, Honda General Manager Marketing had stated earlier.
