To build up for its global unveiling at the 2016 Paris Motor show, Japanese automaker Nissan has released the teaser images for the all new Nissan Micra. The teaser image indicates that the new Nissan Micra will share its looks with the Sway concept which was seen earlier this year. The new model will be produced at Renault’s Flins facility, near Paris and will be available in international markets sometime by early next year.

The new Nissan Micra is reportedly based on Renault-Nissan’s CMF B platform and will be longer and wider than the previous generation. Moreover, this time around the vehicle will also be offered in petrol and diesel engine options mated to manual or automatic transmission options. Along with a new design featuring LED headlamps with DRLs and integrated spoiler at the back, the new model will also be available in interesting colour options. Inside, owing to revised dimensions, the vehicle will offer more cabin and boot space than the older version.

The one to be unveiled at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show will not make it to India. However, Nissan will be introducing a different new generation Micra in AMEI (Asia, Middle East and India) region that will offer more features and safety than the outgoing version. The new model will cost higher than the current range and will compete in the premium hatchback segment along with the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno
