The dream of buying the all new 2012 Maruti Suzuki Swift will take a long time to come true if you still haven’t have booked this in demand car. Dealer sources confirm that the diesel version of new generation Maruti Swift that was launched last week is now available with a waiting period of about 4 to 5 months, for any variant of the car in any color. Due to this high demand, the car maker has been forced to enhance the production of the new Swift to 18,000 units per month from earlier capacity of 12,000 units.
As expected before, the diesel version of the new Swift is much higher in demand as compared to its petrol counterpart. There has been a rush to buy the new generation Maruti Swift diesel version since the company has opened the bookings of this car in the Indian market. About 50,000 units of the all new Maruti Suzuki Swift had already been booked even before the company rolled-out the car in the country, and the majority of these cars were diesel versions.
With about 140 changes and upgrades, the all new Swift is competitively priced between Rs.4.22 lakh and Rs.6.38 lakh. The major rivals of the Swift model in the country include Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, Nissan Micra, Fiat Punto and recently launched Toyota Etios Liva.
