Lamborghini, the super sports luxury car brand, is all set to launch a new super sports car at the upcoming Frankfurt Motors Show 2012. It will be a special edition of the popular Gallardo model of the firm. The Frankfurt Motor Show is scheduled to be held from 15th to 25th September 2011, where a large number of car makers around the world will be launching and displaying their new age cars. Interestingly, another super luxury sports car maker Ferrari has already announced to showcase its 458 Italia Spider model at the show.
One more model that is much awaited by the car enthusiast to be displayed at this show will be Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo. The car is based on LP560-4 platform of the firm. It will be blessed with high performance characteristics, thanks to its powerful 5.2 liter V10 engine that is capable of delivering a massive peak power of 562 hp. The car is speculated to be one of the fastest in its segment with taking just three seconds to break the speed barrier of 62 mph. The superfast car will be blessed with a top speed of 210 miles per hour.
Carrying a weight of around 2,850 lbs, the new Gallardo super car will be blessed with a superbly luxurious interior and power packed racing suspension. The company will manufacture only 30 units of this car that will possibly be carrying a price tag of $325,000.
