The brand new model of Jaguar XJ has been launched recently in London by Tata Motors. The new model is priced at GBP 52,500 amounting to Rs. 40 lakh in the Indian market. The model is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The company said that this is the first model from the company to feature their next-generation aerospace-inspired aluminum body architecture.
“These are truly exciting times for us at Jaguar. The new XJ is truly beautiful, exhilarating to drive, and with its bold, enlightened approach to design, it meets the challenges of our fast-changing world. It re-imagines the ultimate sporting luxury car,” stated Jaguar spokesperson at the launch.
The new Jaguar XJ will compete in the rarified segment bustling with German saloons, namely the Merc S-Class, Audi A8 and the BMW 7-Series and as far as styling goes it looks like they have very strong competition. The XJ comes with a lower, more streamlined roofline, courtesy of a panoramic glass roof. Standard- and long-wheelbase models are available from launch.
