Jaguar Cars Limited, the British luxury sports car maker and wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, is set to unveil its much awaited XFR-S model at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The company has confirmed that it will launch only 100 units of its high performance XFR-S saloon on American turf in 2014. The LA Auto Show will be opened for public between November 30, 2012 and December 9, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Centre.

No detailed information regarding technical specifications of the yet to be showcased XFR-S have been shelled out by Jaguar, but the sedan is expected to feature the same powertrain installed under-the-hood of XKR-S coupe and convertible.

It is also anticipated that the Jaguar XFR-S sedan will be competing against the likes of Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, BMW M5 and Audi S6. Hence, it is going to be interesting to see how the British made Jaguar XFR-S challenges its three German counterparts, upon its launch in the North American and European auto markets in 2014. Further, the XFR-S sedan could feature in an exorbitantly devised price bracket ranging from $ 100,000 to $ 110,000.

Jaguar and Land Rover has scheduled to participate in a press conference on November 28, 2012 in Los Angeles. Hence, further information on Jaguar XFR-S sedan are expected to be revealed in the conference. The Tata Motors owned British sister companies have also affirmed to showcase the new ultra-modish two seater Jaguar F-Type Roadster sports car along with new Land Rover Range Rover at the international exposition.
