The Honda premium small car model, sold in India as the Honda Jazz but in certain overseas markets as Honda Fit, is planned for a minor facelift and will be available soon with cosmetic changes on the exteriors as well as interiors. The cosmetic changes include a subtle tweaks to the front and rear bumpers. A redesigned front and rear light cluster look impressive with a few slashes chrome here and there. The front grille design is similar to what we saw on the Jazz X only with some added sparkle.

Last Friday, Honda also introduced the JDM version of its new Fit (Honda Jazz in our region) Hybrid along with the ordinary Fit model, which benefits from a minor facelift and equipment upgrades for Year 2011 model. Officially, Honda already received 10,000 orders for the Fit Hybrid till date.

The newly-added Fit Hybrid is currently the most affordable gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle in Japan with a starting price of 1.59 million yen. The Honda Fit Hybrid uses the same IMA system with a 1.3 litre i-VTEC engine like the Insight Hybrid and Civic Hybrid. As mentioned in our earlier post, the Honda’s hybrid five-door hatchback model will go on sale in certain European markets from early 2011 along with the ordinary mode
