The Bajaj and Kawasaki Joint venture in the Indian market is all set to bring a new upgraded version of its popular bike Ninja 650R in the country very soon. The all new Ninja 650R is blessed with new styling and redesigned body panels.
Borrowing the styling cues from larger Ninja, the all new 2012 Ninja 650 R carries a more aggressive demeanor with sharper angles. Moreover, the panel gaps have been made wider to offer better engine heat dissipation. The three step adjustable visor provided in Ninja now suits every individual rider’s style and height, with a 60 mm range shifting tools requirement.
Moreover, the firm has offered a range of new features including LED-powered white backlighting, plus fuel consumption indicator, an analogue tachometer, average fuel consumption, an economy riding mode indicator and remaining range left to ride.
The all new Ninja 650 R comes powered by a proven 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid cooled and four-stroke Kawasaki engine. The revised exhaust system of the bike offers an improvement in low- and mid-range torque delivery. The suspension system of the bike has also been improved with increase in stroke of 5 mm at front and 2 mm at rear. With a slightly larger fuel tank, the new generation Ninja carries an increased curb weight of 208 kg.
